A note on notes.

When I was little I used to write notes to my Mom and leave them on her pillow before I went to bed. In the morning there would always be a returned note on my pillow. I kept them all in a cigar box. I wish I still had them.

Don't be scared, it's just me!
I still love to give little notes. Lately I have been leaving goofy cartoons in funny places for Michael. It makes him laugh. My favorite place to leave notes is in the fridge. I borrowed the idea from a friend who left me a book in my fridge as a thank you for letting him crash at my apartment in 1994. It was genius. Everybody looks in the fridge but no one expects a gift in there!

Looking for the toothpaste?
Whenever I travel I always find a note tucked into my case and I always leave one behind- under the pillow is a nice spot. (I once tucked a keyboard and mouse under there for Valentine’s Day. A bit bulky.)

What's this in my shoe?
When was the last time you left a sweet note for a friend or your Mom? It is such a lovely surprise!

I love the notes! I do notes on occasion, but now I want to do them all the time. So amazingly sweet.

I love the notes…. such a sweet way to let someone know you have been thinking of them. Sadie leaves little notes ~ a la suitably cool ~ for the tooth fairy and in return their is always a fairy note left in response.

i love notes. i like to leave them on the bathroom mirror… but my mom used to put them in my lunch every day, which always made me so happy. i had one tacked up to my bulletin board at work for years – when i got a new job my mom packed me a lunch, with a beautiful fireking mug in it, and a note saying “have a wonderful day! i love you! xox mom”

I love receiving any giving notes. It is such a wonderful surprize when you have to go away and you open your suitcase and find a note tucked into your socks. I once stuck a note on an apple in my partner’s lunch bag

My first girlfriend used to write love notes on objects around the house. The only thing I have left from those days is an economy sized bottle of baby-powder (still half full) on which she had drawn little harts and exclamations of love.
My mother used to put notes in my lunches, but she would insert them IN my sandwich. I ate half a sticky note once discovering this.

My mommy and I used to write notes to each other, too!
For a long time my mom was working in the morning and night. I wouldn’t see her for weeks at a time even though I know she crawled in to give me a snuggle around 2:30am when she got home for work.
For a couple of solid months it was the only way we really communicated.
I still have some of them.
