The Big Buddha.
Posted by VictoriaNov 13

From a distance...
We went to visit the Tian Tan Buddha this morning on the island of Lantau. It is the world’s largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha.

A little closer...
It was very foggy on our approach but as the day wore on, the fog dissipated and the skies turned blue.
This visit was a trip of a lifetime.

The fog clears.
A beautiful day.

Stunning!
Have a great weekend. It is our last one in Hong Kong!

Beautiful! Must have been breath taking to be there in person.

I woke up in the sand, on a beach, in Vietnam once – with a family of elders practising Tai Chi right above my head.
It was calming actually…the elders just smiled and continued doing there exercises as they gazed over the rising sun.
Kinda felt guilty – so I reached into my backpack grabbed a banana wrapped in my bandana and ate it.
I then felt better.
mvz.

I’m very glad to have a friend that understands the deep attraction to Asia.
I have no one that gets it besides my ex wife. –
not a bad thing.

I got teary eyed when I looked at these pictures. There’s something so serene and beautiful about them. Perhaps it’s just the thought that Buddha watches over everyone, no matter where they’re from or what they do. It’s lovely, Vic. Thank you for sharing.
