Freshen up!

We are back! Thanks for all of your comments while we were in Hong Kong. I love to travel but it feels good to get home after some time away. Traveling always makes me appreciate my home, my friends and family a little more.

The ingredients.
So back to some regular posting! Our house was pretty musty when we returned home. I called my friend M and asked for the recipe for the natural air freshener that she has been making for years. Her house always smells warm and inviting. Perfect for this time of year.
You will need:

A few cloves. (Add some allspice if you have it as well.)

A cinnamon stick.

A few slices of orange peel.

Bring some water on the stove to boil, add ingredients, and let simmer!
Make sure to keep an eye on the pot as the water evaporates quite quickly and you don’t want to burn your ingredients or your pot. I added more water as I went along, and even carried the pot through the house from room to room to spread the deliciousness around the house!
Thanks M for your amazing recipe!

I have these ceramic humidifiers on my radiators and I think I will fill them with that instead of just plain water! The smell of orange peels and cimmamim (which is how I still pronounce it in my head) have always reminded me of Christmas – Thanks bunches!
